Meet John Hansen of Realty Executives, an active Realtor and Real Estate Broker in the Arizona marketplace since 1975, with ABR CRS GRI SRES and RECS Designations. Two times rated as one of the top 100 Realty Executives agents in the world, John was also in 2001 the top "Solo Agent" for all of the Realty Executives' Phoenix area offices- the best agent working without a licensed assistant from a pool of more than 1200 agents!. Deciding that working "solo" meant merely working against the odds, John assembled his team. Disliking the lack of quality of the detail work that had come from hiring assistants, John fired them....then allied with his Dad and Stepmother to have "overflow" help and additional capabilities in showing or other marketing activities. Together the three of them total over a hundred years of Real estate experience in the "Valley of the Sun." John now handles almost all of the day to day chores directly, with no mistakes being made by a less knowledgeable assistant...the "buck stops" with him. If it's being done, DO IT RIGHT!"

John attended Arizona State University on a competitive swimming scholarship, and competed athletically well into his 40's, culminating with competing in and finishing the Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon in 1993. Since that time, John says he puts all his competitive energy into real estate, and says, tongue-in-cheek that "when I feel the need to work out, I lie down until the urge passes."

WHAT I DO

I take care of my clients!

I work for the interests of my buyer/client and I do it well. I find the best properties, ascertain value, recommend negotiation techniques, negotiate on behalf of my client, assist in mortgage acquisition and, in general, act as the buyer's agent. I often act as a listing agent too, but if you're relocating, you'll probably need buyer representation.

WHY I'M GOOD AT IT

I always tell my clients that I have achieved "top producer" status BECAUSE I help my clients, not because I use them. Too often a client's needs are viewed as a means to an end....someone else's profit. I learned a long time ago that if you take care of your client, the money takes care of itself! I have been in Real Estate more than half my life, so you know I love what I do. You can't be good at something you don't love. And I'm a "workaholic" in achieving your housing goals. You get the same energy that made me a finisher of the Hawaiian Iron man Triathlon in 1993!

MY CREDENTIALS

Licensed full time since 1975 with a solid 33 years in the business. I'm a licensed Real Estate Broker in Arizona, and hold the National Realtor Designations of ABR", an ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative), GRI (graduate of the Realtor's Institute) CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist) and a RECS (Real Estate Cyberspace Specialist). In addition I'm a third generation Realtor® and a FOURTH generation Real Estate Salesperson (there wasn't a Realtor® designation when my great grandfather was a land broker in the 1800's!) following a long family tradition of client service.

MY TRACK RECORD

I'm a top producer (winner of The Phoenix Association's Round Table Award), and in the top 10% of the Realty Executives sales force- actually, I've been ranked in the past as high as 61st out of about 9,000 Realty Executive agents world-wide in total production.  I further take pride in how I got there. . . by caring about the client needs. . . not the commissions!

WHY YOU SHOULD COME TO ME

I have three concerns for my client......
  • I want you to like what you buy. This means house, surrounding area, school district, trends in the community, etc., etc. Thus, I need to know your needs and wants.
  • I want you to obtain a good investment, to buy a home at market value or below, in an area with a good likelihood of appreciation.
  • I want the whole process to be as painless and stress-free as possible.
  • Buying or selling a home should be a relatively simple process, but in the many years I've been helping clients buy and sell, I've identified the corners where the dragons lurk! My job is to take the stress off my client.
